Training is complete for Washington Street's Conflict Managers. These 4th & 5th graders serve their school by helping other students resolve conflicts and by assisting students in many other ways during lunch and recess times.
Each fall and winter new students are chosen (by classmates and teachers) to become Conflict Managers. The Conflict Managers attend a full day of training to learn conflict resolution techniques as well as run through different scenarios.
Each CM is scheduled for duty by the school counselor. Conflict Managers help students express their feelings, come up with ideas to solve problems, and find their own best solutions. This is a great leadership opportunity for students!
